Subsurface temperature data are routinely collected from geothermal wells, drill stem tests, repeat formation tests and during wireline logging operations (Bottom Hole Temperature). TNO collected onshore temperature data available from public sources and merged them in an Excel spreadsheet. BHTs were corrected for drilling related cooling effects using the methodology described in Bonté et al (2012).
